2014 RoboCamps
As many of our members began their FIRST journey in FLL, we sought to lend our expertise and help provide an immersive introduction to the world of FLL for anyone interested. Thus, we started hosting FIRST LEGO League robotics camps, with the team hosting at least one each summer. We expose the campers to three main components: the Robot, the Project and the Core Values. A typical day consists of a short teaching session, followed by a longer time period in which the campers apply the knowledge to an activity carefully planned to push the campers and get them to think. The counselors, who are members from our team, are very experienced in both FLL and FRC and also have a passion for robotics. In 2014, we collaborated with our sponsor, GradePower Learning, and hosted the RoboCamps at their facilities. We had great turnout and the venture was a great success! Attached below are the plans used to set up the camps!
